Expert Tax licenses for 2016 and earlier versions work through an Activation Code which must be requested from our Technical Support department.
Requesting an Activation Code
You need to create a help request or send an email to support@cegsoft.com with the following information:
- Company name
- User email
- Program's Activation Key
- Module you wish to activate
Below are the steps to obtain the Activation Key:
1. Go to the Expert Tax program for the year you wish to work on (2016 or earlier).
2. Press the configuration button.
3. Under Account select License Management.
4. Select Register Offline.
5. Accept terms and conditions
6. Copy Activation Key
You need to click on the code to highlight it completely and then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
Note: The code is not fully displayed on the program screen, so you must follow the previous instructions to copy the entire code. If an incomplete code is sent, the system will read it as invalid, and the license cannot be generated.
Once we receive the necessary information, we will process the request and send the Activation Code for the requested module via email.
Registering the license with the Activation Code
Once you have the code, select the module in the program and paste the sent code in the second Activation Key box, then press Register.
