Share Tax Return with External Account – Expert Tax

This function allows sharing tax returns between users of different companies or accounts.

Create External Copy

1. Locate the client profile from which you want to share the tax return to an external account.

2. Click View Client.

3. Locate the tax return you want to share and click on the Copy Return icon.

4. Choose the option External: Share a copy of this return to an external account.

5. Click the Generate Code button and copy the code.

Share the code with the external user.

Create External Return

1. Go to the client profile where you want to create the external return.

2. Under the options button, choose Create from External and enter the code that was shared with you.

An exact copy of the shared return will be created.
The copied return will include all the information, including the name, identification number, and amounts, exactly as they were in the original return.

Note: The code has a 24-hour expiration period and can only be used once. If you wish to share the return with more than one external account, you will need to generate a new code.
