The current phase or step of the task within its workflow or process, such as "In Progress" or "Completed."
Stages provide visibility into the status of each task, enabling teams to quickly identify bottlenecks or delays. They also allow team members to prioritize work based on where a task stands in the process. Due Dates also allows users to create custom stages to fit your specific workflow.
Example: In a Tax Board, a common stage workflow could include the following:
-
Stage 1: "To-do" (Pending client documents.)
-
Stage 2: "Ready to Prep" (Work is ready to begin by staff.)
-
Stage 3: "In Progress" (The return is being prepared by the staff.)
-
Stage 4: "Pending Senior" (The return is being reviewed by senior staff for accuracy.)
-
Stage 5: "Pending Manager" (The return is being reviewed by manager for accuracy.)
-
Stage 6: "Completed" (Tax return is filed with the appropriate authorities.)
Go to settings and select the board for which the custom stage will belong to.
