🔴 SpecialistPIN
Message: The 'SpecialistPIN' element is invalid - The value ' 638342' is invalid... actual length is greater than the MaxLength.
Cause: The Specialist Registration Number contains extra spaces or exceeds the character limit. Ensure the number is trimmed and has no leading spaces.
🔴 Invalid future dates
Message: Dates like 2024-12-31 entered in elements such as M_P6_ColYear11, N_P6_ColYear13, etc.
Cause: These fields are for reporting losses from previous years, so the date must be prior to January 1st of the current tax year.
🔴 Invalid control number
Message: Control numbers with fewer than 9 digits, or containing non-numeric characters.
Cause: The control number must be exactly 9 digits and fully numeric, without symbols or letters.
🔴 Required field left blank
Message: Elements like SC6042_TaxpayerOrSpouse, G_CadastralNumber, W2_ControlNumber, etc.
Cause: These are mandatory fields that must be filled when the related schedule or form is included.
🔴 Incomplete detail in Schedule E1 or M
Message: The element 'ScheduleE1' has incomplete content...
Cause: The system detects an extra E1 detail entry that appears blank. It is recommended to delete Schedule M and re-enter it.
🔴 Special characters in names
Message: The 'FirstName' element is invalid – Value 'ÀNGEL' is invalid...
Cause: Names cannot include accented capital letters or special characters like parentheses, tildes, or symbols.
🔴 Form 1098-T – Missing required field
Message: Invalid child element 'F1098T_FilerAddress'...
Cause: The "Filer’s Name" field was left empty. This field must be completed for the form to validate correctly.
🔴 Invalid year in date format
Message: The 'Spec_Date' attribute is invalid – The value '1096-04-23' is invalid...
Cause: A date was entered with an incorrect year (e.g., 1096). Verify and correct all dates in the return.
🔴 Schedule marked but not completed
Message: Elements like 'E1_Sequence' or 'E_Sequence' show value '0'...
Cause: A checkbox (e.g., E1 or E) was selected, indicating additional information is required, but no values were provided. If not used, the schedule should be removed.
🔴 Invalid entry in 480.7A – Co-borrower field
Message: The 'Inf7A_JointBorrowerFirstName' element is invalid – Value 'ELBA(FALLECIO)'...
Cause: The field contains parentheses or notes like "Deceased" which are not allowed. Use only plain text for names.
🔴 Informative returns – other common errors
- Inf6A_OriginalControlNumber: Control number with fewer than 9 digits.
