This is the first step to follow before creating a payroll in the program, as they are tied to the employee's social security number.
1. Go to Add Data.
2.Press Import Employees.
3. Download Template. For the purposes of this manual, we will use Classic mode.
4. Fill out the Excel sheet with employee information in the Employees tab.
Notes:
- Do not include special characters (#,-.) in the address.
- Do not leave blank lines between employees.
- Ensure dates are in "Date" format.
- If you are going to delete a line, delete the entire line.
- The "SocialSecurityNo" column should be in "Text" format.
5. Once the Excel sheet is complete, upload the file to the program.
6. Choose the worksheet labeled Employees and press Import.
7. If the import was successful, you should see the following message:
9. Press Back to List of Employee and you will see the created employees.
