This article explains how to file 480 forms in the Withholding module of Expert Tax.
You must have previously created the 480's in one of the following ways:
- By transferring
- Manually
- Excel Import
Reconciliations (If applicable, if not, please continue)
Note:
Once you complete your forms, it is important that you go to Forms and select View Forms in the Reconciliation of the worksheet that applies to you.
In the Reconciliation, you just need to press:
- Import: To bring the quantities.
- Save
- Exit: To return to the form you want to file.
E-File Process
Once in the Start Panel the Form you want to work:
In Pending Forms, press File.
To continue, press Yes.
Once all the forms are validated and correct, on the next screen you must press Continue to Filing.
The program will then take you through a series of steps.
Press Continue.
Expert Tax provides you with the control numbers automatically, otherwise it gives you the option of setting the range of your preference.
Download Text File
Once the Text File is downloaded, the screen will enable options #2 and #3.
After you have submitted the text file and SURI provides you with the confirmation number, you can enter it on the following screen.
If you go back to the Dashboard without entering the confirmation number, the program will have this headband until you enter the confirmation number.
To remove the alert, you must Cancel the E-File and then start the filing process again.
Completed E-Files
Once you enter the Confirmation Number in the program, you will get the option to print forms and generate reports.
On the Home Screen you can:
- See how many filings you have made
- Amend Forms
- Add New Forms
- See All Forms
- Generate reports
